Scott and Emily Family

So... I was kinda/sorta diagnosed with Celiac Disease last week. For those of you who don't know what that is (like I didn't), it's basically a food allergy to anything gluten (wheat, rye, barley, etc). Sounds easy, right? Like... no more wheat bread, sure! WRONG. It actually is extremely complicated and overwhelming. I never realized how much GLUTEN I was eating. It's in practicly everything that I eat. All breads, pasta, tortillas, cereals, etc.

So I've been put on a gluten-free diet. All I can eat is basically fruits, veggies, meat, rice, potatoes... and Rice Chex. It's hard but hopefully will make me feel better. If this is, in fact, what has been wrong with me all this time... I may become a whole new person very soon. One can only hope.

No more Cafe Rio, no more Subway, no more cereal. Sad.

If anyone has any tips, recipes, links (I know, unlikely), it would be greatly appreciated. I'm still pretty clueless about what I can/can't eat.

Three months, 18 days!

As I'm sure you've all heard by now, we found out we're having a girl! I was totally expecting to have a boy (for whatever reason) and was pleasantly surprised to hear otherwise. Now I am so happy she's a girl. She was very active, moved around a lot and so far everything seems healthy. She is still a Christmas baby, so we're looking at anytime around the 25th...

As soon as I have Chad scan in photos of the ultrasound, I'll post them. She is very, very cute already and has Scott's nose. )

Okay, I'm still trying to get the hang of this but I've put up a few pics of our honeymoon. I'm too lazy today to resize all of them but I will get to it very soon. So take a look!
